Description

Introducing the all new SSA Demon.  First and foremost, pure accurate and smooth sound quality is a requirement by all SSA subwoofers, which makes the SSA Demon is an outstanding choice for those goals.  The all new SSA Demon takes it to the next level in value, clarity, and build quality.

What defines a premier level subwoofer?  As with the SSA Dcon before, it was best described as a scaled down Xcon motor, with a large single slug, solid pole, and deeply bumped back plate.  The SSA Demon moves it up a level though a larger coil, larger motor, stiffer Nomex spiders, and larger leads. All of that means the SSA Demon is able to take some serious abuse, while keeping the sound in check.  We were able to bring the power handling up 33% over the Dcon while not hurting the crisp clarity that made the Dcon so successful through the addition of a shorting ring inside the motor of the Demon and increased Xmax through improved spiders and high roll surround.

You're safe knowing the Demon is a great blend of the previous Dcon and Xcon, both in design, performance and appearance.  The SSA Demon thrives in smaller to mid-sized ported and small to mid-sized sealed enclosures, both in home and car audio. Not to mention, the sealed backplate allows for fairly shallow mount installs.

Step your bass up, while not going into debt or sacrificing sound quality.  Step up to the SSA Demon.

    Demon 12s

Posted by Quinn McDonald on 8th Dec 2023

So far only putting 400watts to each for break in and sounds amazing will be putting 800-1000watts to each after break in can't wait to see them come alive on real power. Very musical subs for how loud they get.

    Icons or Demons?

Posted by Joe Perkins on 22nd Sep 2021

I have ran both Icons and currently running the Demons. Even though they were in two separate type of enclosures and vehicles. I have to say, both have totally surpassed my expectations. I never heard of SSA and have always tried the non mainstream companies. I was on the NVX kick until their customer service let me down. I started looking into the company Sound Solutions Audio cause I was looking into US Accoustics, another company I looked into. I talked back and forth for hours in email with Aaron and he listened and suggested the Icons. However, the Demons have a certain quality not usually seen in a $200 sub. Not only does the Demon get loud, it will dig the the lows with sound quality accuracy. SSA products along with great customer service, is hands down a winning combination.

    Demon dual 2 12

This sub is a gem, I needed a sub that would dig low, play loud, and clean on low power. This sub fit the bill. I'm feeding it 500 watts from a rockford prime 500 amp. It performs like it has much more power . Completely satisfied!

    12" Demon

Posted by Neal Munro on 27th Mar 2019

I have been wanting a sub that would work in a small sealed enclosure. The Demon fit what I was wanting, so I bought 4 of them and built a 4 cube sealed box. These subs are powered by a SSA IC2200.1 which is a great sub amp. Upon testing the subs through the low end range I was happy, so I placed the box in my 4runner and started running them at what I thought was a hard pace of music. Needless to say from rock to bass music these Demons hit hard, kinda of like a freight train and dig deep on the lows like my SSA Evil did. When playing lows 30hz and below it moves air like a ported box. Kick ass sub for the price when you realize it's capabilities! It reminds me of the demo vehicles from the 80's and 90's when I was learning car audio.
